Walk Barn Farm has been designed by Charles Barclay Architects on behalf of a private client and takes the form of three converging wings.
Despite the large area of glazing, W40 steel frames are able to comply with the latest amendments to Part L of the Building Regulations. In order to achieve the required thermal performance, the double glazed units feature both argon gas filling and soft coat low-E glass for the inner leaf, while the outer pane is clear float toughened.
W40 windows are suitable for new build or refurbishment projects, where the pattern of the original fenestration is to be maintained.
The W40 range proposed by West leigh is not only used in the field of restoration, but it’s also highly acclaimed in contemporary architecture for its elegant and compact sightlines, ensuring safety and comfort thanks to its excellent thermal and acoustic performance.
