Bronze is one of the oldest metals known to man, becoming popular at the beginning of the Bronze Age over 5,000 years ago. It is considered a 'living material', subject to natural oxidation or weathering, and its natural colours range from a copper red fading through golden yellow to end in shades of classic brown. It emanates a warmness difficult to match with other metals. Contemporary architecture is rediscovering the value and beauty of this noble metal, which was the principal performer in windows and doors of many representative commercial buildings and residences of the 18th and 19th centuries.
A prestigious material for a system of profiles with FerroFinestra design. Architectural bronze is a copper alloy composed of approximately 58% copper and 40% zinc (2% other). Thanks to its physical properties such as hardness, resistance and ductility, it is an ideal material for the realization of windows and doors. Architectural bronze is a 'living material', subject to natural oxidation and thus gaining over the years unique and fascinating shades of colour. Every kind of opening is available: tilt-and-turn, single-sash and double-sash, side-hung and bottom-hung windows opening inwards and outwards, top-hung, vertical and horizontal pivoting windows, windows and doors opening inwards and outwards.
The elegant and slender lines of FerroFinestra W60 TB are available also in the prestigious architectural bronze, under the name of BronzoFinestra B60 TB. This noble series has been developed for projects with the highest demands.
The depth of the B60 TB profiles has been limited to 60 mm to accommodate energy-efficient insulating glazing up to 37 mm. The result is a very balanced compromise between design and thermal performance. The innovative fibreglass-reinforced polyamide insulator helps to achieve very good insulation even with this compact profile design. This new thermal barrier steel window system encompasses more than 20 profiles in four steel finishes: steel, galvanized steel, Cor-Ten steel and stainless steel (Aisi 316L).
The new BronzoFinestra B75 TB system is, together with FerroFinestra W75 TB, the latest development from Ottostumm. With its unlimited surface shades, architectural bronze is a living material that gives windows and doors an undisputed charm. The profile depth of 75 mm allows it to accommodate highly energy-efficient insulating glazing up to 52 mm and the fibreglass-reinforced polyamide insulator guarantees excellent thermal insulation, making the system ideal for projects in climatically demanding regions, where energy-saving regulations are extremely high.
The profile is completed by a wide range of exclusive fittings and accessories reproduced from original designs of the modern age. This allows the realization of all common opening types (inside and outside opening) for windows and doors, including tilt-and-turn windows. The system is available with a flush or overlapping design.
